The Viðey House

The Viðey House, the first build­ing constructed of stone in Iceland, is one of the country´s oldest build­ing and a significant part of Icelandic architectural history.

A worthwhile historical display is also to be found in the basement.

Gallery Restaurant – Hótel Holti opera­tes a restaurant in Viðey House and has done so since April 2010. The venerable mansion has a very special atmosph­ere and the restaurant is pop­ular among visitors.

If you turn left from Viðey House you will soon come upon the Imagine Peace Tower by Yoko Ono and fur­t­her on you´ll find the Viðeyjarnaust Cabin.
