Biking on Viðey Island
Various bicycle routes exist on Viðey Island. Cycling on the island is the perfect way to get around quickly and comfortably while learning about the island‘s history, nature and arts.
It is free of charge to bring bicycles on the ferry from either the Old Harbour or Skarfagarður Pier.
Availability for bringing bicycles will depend on the space available on each ferry from the Old Harbour Port.
The distance from the Old Harbour Port to the Skarfagarður Pier is 5 km.
Bicycles can be rented in summer from Reykjavik Bike Tours office at Ægisgarður Pier in Reykjavík Old Harbour. The office is conveniently located opposite the Viðey-ferry port in the Old Harbour.
