Spring Concert of Women's Choir of University of Iceland

Women's Choir of University of Iceland invites you to a concert in the Maritime Museum in Reykjavík. The songs performed will be from various genres, musical, icelandic folk songs as well as Abba. The concert is approximately 1 hour long. Children are welcome. Free admission.

The Settlement Exhibition

The Settlement Exhibition Aðalstræti - Guided tour

Reyk­javík’s his­tory in a nut­shell. At Aðalstræti 10 and 16 in Reykjavík’s city centre, you can explore how the city developed from Iceland’s settlement period to the present day. Stretching underground from Aðalstræti 16 – which houses the archaeological remains of a 10th-century Viking longhouse – to the central Kvosin area’s oldest remaining building at Aðalstræti 10, this historical exhibition traces Reykjavík’s development from a farm to a city.

"Press Pho­to­graphs of the Year" is the Journ­al­ists' As­so­ci­ation of Iceland' s an­nual ex­hib­i­tion, which is on dis­play at the Reyk­javík Mu­seum of Pho­to­graphy. The ex­hib­i­tion fea­tures pho­tos from the past year that have been se­lec­ted by an in­de­pend­ent jury from 800 pho­tos sub­mit­ted by Icelandic press pho­to­graph­ers.

Come and play!

The ex­hib­i­tion fo­cuses on chil­dren's cul­ture, toys and games in the last cen­tury. It is housed in a former church and sports hall called Landakot. The ex­hib­i­tion is in­ter­act­ive and it suits chil­dren in all age groups. Open at the same time as the mu­seum.
