Safnfræðsla
Hér er hægt að skoða fræðsluframboð og bóka heimsóknir á Landnámssýninguna og Reykjavík... sagan heldur áfram í Aðalstræti. Fræðslan er öllum skólahópum að kostnaðarlausu, hæfir hverju skólastigi og tekur mið af aðalnámskrá.
Auðvelt að bóka!
Allar bókarnir fyrir öll skólastig og frístund fara nú í gegnum vefsíðu safnsins. Veldu fyrst viðeigandi skólastig og síðan fræðslu úr listanum með því að ýta á hnappinn BÓKA. Við það opnast upplýsingagluggi, skrollaðu niður og veldu dagsetningu og tíma og fylltu út umbeðnar persónuupplýsingar. Mikilvægt er að hafa símanúmer kennara, eða skóla með ef eitthvað kemur upp á. Það er alltaf hægt að fara til baka og velja annað eða afbóka ef valið er vitlaus dagsetning.
Athugið bóka þarf alla hópa sem hyggjast heimsækja sýninguna, hvort sem þeir ætla sér að þiggja fræðslu eða ekki.

Where did the Icelanders come from?
According to research, Iceland was originally settled by immigrants. But where did the settlers come from? Were they all Norwegian heathens or were some of them from different cultures? During this visit, we'll be talking about religion, slavery, culture and the attitudes of people during the Viking Age.

What do we know about the life and work of people during the settlement age? During this visit, students will learn about the settlement of Reykjavík and Iceland. By examining excavated artefacts such as tools, ornaments, leftover food specimens, and even a complete dwelling, we get a better understanding of what life was like a thousand years ago.

Throughout the Age of Settlement, Nordic people emigrated to Iceland in order to start a new life. The journey across the sea was neither easy or without danger. During this visit, the preparation and undertaking of voyages to Iceland is addressed.

The exhibition is based on scholars theories on what the heritage sites in central Reykjavík can tell us about the life and work of the first settlers. The focus of the exhibition is the remains of a hall from the Settlement Age which was excavated in 2001. Introductions available in english.
