Aðalstræti 10 & 16: The Settlement Exhibition and Reykjavík…story continues
Open daily 10:00-17:00
Medieval games, rune puzzles, and the orienteering game: HE DOTS IN KVOSIN are among the many fun things children can do at The Settlement Exhibition during the elementary school's autumn break in Reykjavík from 21-25 October. Furthermore, they can try on some Viking clothes for fun.
Aðalstræti 10 & 16 houses two exhibitions that tell the history of Reykjavík City: The Settlement Exhibition and Reykjavík...the story continues, which opened in May 2022. We encourage families to see both of these exhibitions during the autumn break.
Reykjavík Museum of Photography
Open: Mon-Thu 10:00-18:00, Fri 11:00-18:00, Weekends 13:00-17:00
Reykjavík Museum of Photography offers a fun PICTURE PUZZLE about the exhibition THE SYSTEM during the autumn school break, 21-25 October.
In the exhibition, the photographer Elvar Örn Kjartansson strives to capture the system in which we live and move around in. Everything from pipes in a wastewater treatment plant to the main hall of the Icelandic Parliament, from pictures of a sheep barn and a greenhouse to a store stock room.
We often take the system for granted until it breaks down and no water comes out of the faucet. The tap water comes from Gvendarbrunnar, but do you know how they look? The answer is in the exhibition.
The picture puzzle focuses on family togetherness and cooperation while viewing the exhibition.
Reykjavík Maritime Museum
