The exhibition The Age of Nói: Nói Síríus‘ anniversary exhibition tells the tale of one of Reykjavik's oldest candy manufacturer.

This year marks the 100th anniversary since the founding of Brjóstsykursgerðin Nói which at first only manufactured hard-boiled candies and toffee. Since then the Icelanders have enjoyed the company’s assorted chocolates, liquorice tablets, Easter eggs and other irresistible sweet treats.

The history of Nói Síríus is delightfully intertwined with the history of the Icelandic population as the company‘s products have been a staple commodity at special occasions and celebrations since early in the 19th century. In this exhibition, the story of Nói and Síríus, once two separate companies, is told. Nói Síríus‘ candies are a feast for the palate and eyes which will be explored through old packaging and advertisements. A fun exhibition for connoisseurs of any age!
